TSIP Ineligible Costs for Reimbursement

NOTICE: The Tank Site Improvement Program is not accepting new applications (including non-preapproved reimbursement requests for confirmation of suspected releases) during Fiscal Year 2025 (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025). 


For all eligible actions, costs that are ineligible for reimbursement include, but are not limited to:

  • Any undocumented work activities
  • All costs associated with above-ground storage tanks or tanks that are not regulated under ADEQ’s UST program
  • Markup on non-subcontractor costs
  • The applicant’s time coordinating with and supervising their consultant and contractors
  • Costs associated with the application process and associated reimbursement request
  • Costs for rental of equipment that is not used on-site
  • Costs for storage of equipment and supplies
  • Late payment fees or penalties
  • Site restoration costs due to contractor negligence
  • Costs to repair or replace areas broken up or damaged due to excavators, dump trucks or other equipment not directly related to the approved activity. Examples are broken driveways, sidewalks, damaged landscaping
  • Costs associated with business interruptions
  • Costs associated with third-party damages or claims
  • Costs for insurance
  • Costs covered by insurance claims or tank service agreements
  • Legal costs
  • Certain costs may be considered to be overhead costs or as unnecessary costs (e.g., purchased materials not completely dedicated to the project, insurance for equipment rentals, etc.)
