Rural Water Infrastructure Committee (RWIC)

Providing resources to drinking water and wastewater systems

Posted On: Jan. 5, 2024 - 9:00 a.m.

Welcome to the Rural Water Infrastructure Committee (RWIC) webpage. The RWIC is a partnership of various federal and state agencies that provide loans, grants, and technical assistance to Arizona’s rural communities.

RWIC provides resources to Arizona's rural communities with a population of less than 10,000 through:

Some partners offer technical assistance for small communities, including operator certification, and other professional development.

Many partners offer assistance for the planning and design phases of projects, including rate studies, engineering assistance, and design loans or grants.

Almost all partners offer funding assistance for the projects. Funding assistance includes various grants, grant-like money, and loans. Additionally, projects may be co-funded by multiple partners, ensuring that our rural communities receive the best help with the least financial burden.

Our mission is to serve as a “One-Stop Shop” for rural communities with a population of less than 10,000.
