Notice: Pursuant to the Clean Water Act and in accordance with Arizona Administrative Code (AAC) R18-9-A907, the ADEQ Director proposes to issue an Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) Permit to discharge pollutants to waters of the U.S. to the following applicant, subject to certain effluent limitations and special conditions:

The City of Bisbee applied for a renewal AZPDES permit for the proposed discharge of up to 1.22 million gallons per day (mgd) of treated domestic wastewater from the San Jose Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to the Greenbush Draw , Tributary to the San Pedro River in the San Pedro River Basin in Township 24 S, Range 24 E, Section 17, in Cochise County, Ariz. The San Jose WWTP is a publicly owned treatment works that receives domestic wastewater from residential, and commercial sources in City of Bisbee. Sludge, including screenings, grit and scum, will be hauled offsite and disposed to a municipal solid waste landfill.
