ADEQ has completed the feasibility study (FS) for the East Central Phoenix (ECP) 40th Street and Indian School Road Water Quality Assurance Revolving Fund (WQARF) site (Site) in Phoenix, Arizona. A FS is conducted to identify a reference remedy and alternative remedies that appear to be capable of achieving established remedial objectives and to evaluate them based on the comparison criteria to select a remedy. However, identification and screening of remedial technologies and alternatives are not necessary because groundwater at the Site no longer exceeds the Arizona Aquifer Water Quality Standard (AWQS) of 5 micrograms per Liter (µg/L) for tetrachloroethene (PCE).
Information
ADEQ made a determination that no further remedial action is necessary at the Site and has removed the Site from the WQARF Registry. The basis for this determination is contained within the FS.1
