ADEQ proposes to issue an Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) permit renewal to discharge pollutants to Waters of the United States to the following applicant, subject to certain effluent limitations and special conditions:

Facility Information

ASARCO LLC applied for a renewal AZPDES permit for the proposed discharge of stormwater commingled with potential Mineral Creek tunnel seepage at volumes dependent on storm flows released from Big Box Dam upstream of ASARCO Ray operations to the Gila River in the Middle Gila River Basin in Township 3 S, Range 13 E, Section 24 (Outfall 010), in Pinal County, Arizona. ASARCO Ray Operations is an industrial facility that is a copper ore extraction mine in Kearny.
