ADEQ proposes to issue an Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) renewal permit to discharge pollutants to Waters of the United States to the following applicant, subject to certain effluent limitations and special conditions:

Facility Information
Global Water – Palo Verde Utilities Company applied for a renewal AZPDES permit for the proposed discharge of up to 9 million gallons per day (mgd) of treated domestic wastewater from the wastewater treatment plant to the Santa Rosa Wash in the Santa Cruz River Basin in Township 4 S, Range 3 E, Sections 14, 23, and 26, in Pinal County, Ariz. The Global Water – Palo Verde Utilities Company is a privately owned wastewater treatment plant that receives domestic wastewater from several new developments in and around the city of Maricopa. Sludge is stabilized in an aerobic digester and then dewatered for landfill disposal.
