PUBLIC NOTICE | Proposed Redesignation Request and Maintenance Plan for PM-10 in Ajo, Ariz.
ADEQ proposes to submit a revision to Arizona's State Implementation Plan (SIP) for Ajo, Ariz. The plan demonstrates that the Ajo area has attained the 1987 24-hour PM10 National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) and will continue to maintain the standards through 2031. ADEQ is requesting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approve the proposed maintenance plan as a revision to the Arizona SIP and redesignate the Ajo nonattainment area to attainment for the PM10 NAAQS. ADEQ is also requesting EPA remove the outdated total suspended particulates (TSP) nonattainment designation for the Ajo area.
