Summary: 

The concentration of PM₁₀ in the air in Rillito is frequently above the federal limit established in the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). ADEQ is developing a nonattainment State Implementation Plan (SIP) to determine the control measures that are feasible and will help the area attain the NAAQS. The Clean Air Act requires that ADEQ include an updated emissions inventory, a modeled attainment demonstration, and rules for PM₁₀ controls. ADEQ will be working with permitted facilities, local government, and community stakeholders in a collaborative effort to develop the SIP.
