Summary:

The concentration of PM10 in the air in the Miami Nonattainment Area is currently below the federal limit established by the federal National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). ADEQ will develop and submit a redesignation request to EPA in order to start the process of reclassifying the area as an attainment area. As part of this request, ADEQ must include an updated emissions inventory, modeled attainment  demonstration, and a strategy for possible exceptional events demonstrations. ADEQ will be working with permitted facilities, local government, and community stakeholders in a collaborative effort to develop the SIP.
