2021 – 2024: ADEQ conducted remedial investigation (RI) activities. These activities included characterization, monitor well installation, and potential responsible party (PRP) search.
2019 – 2021: ADEQ Underground Storage Tank (UST) program shared monitoring well data from a UST facility located at the northwest intersection of North 51st Avenue and West Camelback Road with detections of trichloroethene (TCE) in groundwater at concentrations ranging from 406 to 1,440 micrograms per liter (µg/L). ADEQ conducted a Preliminary Investigation (PI) from August 2019 to June 2021. During this time, four groundwater monitoring wells were drilled, installed, and sampled. Data from the additional wells indicated that PCE and 1,1-DCE were also present in area groundwater at maximum concentrations of 1,730 µg/L for PCE and 626 µg/L for 1,1-DCE.
