Smoke Synopsis

NOTE: This will be the final smoke forecast for the Dragon Bravo Fire. For information on smoke impacts to the South and North Rim, visit the U.S. Interagency Wildland Fire Air Quality Response Program's Smoke Outlook site.

This morning, as the day heats up, any smoke that has settled into the canyon will rise out and disperse to the southeast.

Today, smoke will generally disperse to the southeast. The amount of smoke produced will depend on fire activity. Then by evening and overnight, residual smoke will settle into the Grand Canyon, with some smoke continuing to move to the southeast. Minimal smoke impacts are expected to Tusayan, Valle, and Cameron, with haze possible overhead in the morning.

On Tuesday, smoke will rise and disperse generally to the southeast throughout the day, with smoke settling into the canyon again overnight.
