This permit is for the discharge of a pollutant either directly to an aquifer, to the land surface, or to the vadose zone in such a manner that there is a reasonable probability that the pollutant will reach an aquifer. A person may apply for a temporary individual permit for either of the following: 1) A pilot project to develop data for an Aquifer Protection Permit application for the full-scale project, or 2) A facility with a discharge lasting no more than six months. This permit is valid for one year unless it is renewed. A Temporary Individual APP may only be renewed one time.
