A Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) is required prior to submitting a Notice of intent (NOI) for the following Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) permits for stormwater:

• Construction General Permit (CGP) 
• Industrial Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP)

ADEQ offers a checklist and template to help operators ensure the site SWPPP meets permit requirements. The checklist includes guidance for preparing your initial SWPPP, as well as information to include throughout your construction project, such as control measures, inspections and corrective actions. 

The checklist “descriptions” are merely examples and may or may not reflect permit standards, so please refer to CGP or MSGP permit requirements when developing your SWPPP. While you don’t have to follow the checklist format, the checklist will help ensure that your SWPPP contains all required components.
