Draft Five Year Plan | Arizona Nonpoint Source Program

On May 12, 2025, the comment period begins for the draft Arizona Nonpoint Source (NPS) Program Five Year Plan to reduce pollution in Arizona's rivers, lakes and streams. The comment period ends June 11, 2025.

The draft plan is required by Section 319 of the federal Clean Water Act and details ADEQ’s priorities for addressing NPS pollution, which comes from diffuse sources like water runoff over land and abandoned mines. The intended timeframe for the draft plan is July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2030.
