On March 29, 2024, the comment period begins for the preliminary decision to issue an individual Aquifer Protection Permit to Arizona State Parks & Trails for Kartchner Caverns State Park Wastewater Treatment Facility located in Cochise County, Arizona. The comment period ends April 27, 2024.

This permit will allow the permittee to comply with the two key requirements of the Aquifer Protection Program: 1. meet Aquifer Water Quality Standards at the Point of Compliance and 2. demonstrate Best Available Demonstrated Control Technology.
