Aquifer Protection Permit Significant Amendment | Pinto Valley Mine

On May 22, 2024, the comment period begins for the preliminary decision to issue a significant amendment to an individual Aquifer Protection Permit (APP) for the Pinto Valley Mine located in Gila County. The comment period ends June 20, 2024.

Aquifer Protection Permit No.: 100329, LTF No. 96823 

This permit will allow the permittee to comply with the two key requirements of the Aquifer Protection Program: 1. meet Aquifer Water Quality Standards at the Point of Compliance and 2. demonstrate Best Available Demonstrated Control Technology.

Permittee: 

Pinto Valley Mining Corp.

Facility: 

The Pinto Valley Mine located approximately 8 miles west of Miami, Arizona, in Gila County, in Township 01 N, Range 13 E, Sections 1, 12, 13, 24, 25 and 36; and Township 01 N, Range 14 E, Sections 7, 18, 19, 20, 30, 31, and 32 of the Gila and Salt River Baseline and Meridian.
