On Sept. 23, 2024, the comment period begins for the preliminary decision to issue a significant amendment to an Individual Aquifer Protection Program (APP) Permit to the City of Kingman for its Hilltop Wastewater Treatment Plant located in Mohave County, Arizona. The comment period ends Oct. 22, 2024.

The requirements in this permit will allow the permittee to comply with the two key requirements of the Aquifer Protection Program: 1) meet Aquifer Water Quality Standards at the Point of Compliance; and 2) demonstrate Best Available Demonstrated Control Technology.

The facility is located in Mohave County Parcels 310-01-005, 5925 E. Highway 66, Kingman, Arizona 86401, in Mohave County. The discharge to Mohave Wash is located on parcel 310-01-058, and the constructed wetland cells and rapid infiltration basins are located on parcel 310-01-061.
