On Nov. 15, 2023, the comment period begins for the proposed Yuma Ozone Redesignation Request and Maintenance State Implementation Plan (SIP). The comment period ends Dec. 15, 2023.

SIP Revision Information:

The Yuma Ozone Maintenance Plan demonstrates that the Yuma area has attained the 2015 ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) and sets forth the regulations to keep the Yuma nonattainment area within attainment for the next 10 years. ADEQ is requesting that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approve the proposed maintenance plan as a revision to the Arizona SIP and redesignate the Yuma nonattainment area to attainment for the ozone NAAQS.
