On Dec. 16, 2024, the comment period begins for the proposed Arizona State Implementation Plan (SIP) Revision: Air Quality Control Rules Clarification. The comment period ends Jan. 22, 2025.

SIP Revision Information:

These final rule revisions improve consistency in language between state and federal regulations and eliminate requirements no longer necessary for the operation of state government. The Air Quality Control Rules Clarification final rule revisions will be submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for federal approval and incorporation as a revision to the Arizona SIP as required under the Clean Air Act.
