Waste Division

ADEQ has made a determination that no further remedial action is necessary for the Harrison Road and Millmar Road Water Quality Assurance Revolving Fund (WQARF) Site and has removed the site from the WQARF Registry. The remedial objectives have been met due to the consolidation and engineered capping of the dross. Declarations of Environmental Use Restriction (DEURs) have been placed on the affected areas to maintain the remedy and prevent future exposure. ADEQ determined from the information available in the Feasibility Study (FS) that the site does not present a significant risk to the public health, welfare, or the environment.

The Site consists of two dross piles located on residential properties in Tucson, Arizona, approximately 0.25-miles southeast of the intersection of Harrison and Millmar Roads. The Site was characterized by the presence of metals in the soil/dross at the Site. Groundwater was not impacted at the Site.
