PUBLIC NOTICE | No Further Action Determination for the Properties Adjacent to Former US CBP Firing Range

United States Customs and Border Protection (US CBP) has submitted a request for a No Further Action (NFA) determination to the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) Voluntary Remediation Program (VRP) for the Properties Adjacent to Former US CBP Firing Range VRP site. The NFA requests closure for soil and was submitted in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes § 49-181.

The Properties Adjacent to Former US CBP Firing Range VRP site consists of private properties with soil impacted by former shooting range activities located in Nogales, Arizona. Contaminants of concern at the site are antimony, arsenic, lead, and polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons in soil.

A determination of NFA means that no further action shall be taken by ADEQ to remediate or require remediation of the site or portion of the site covered by the no further action determination, except in limited circumstances described in statute | View A.R.S. 49-181(E) >
