Site Summary:

• Large-scale town cleanup from historic smelter emissions
• Freeport has submitted a Sampling Analysis Plan, Quality Assurance Project Plan, and a Probabilistic Risk Assessment that are currently under ADEQ review
• The public comment period for the Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) ran from Feb. 10, 2021, through March 12, 2021
• The VRP approved the Probabilistic Risk Assessment, Sampling Analysis Plan and Quality Assurance Project Plan in April 2021
• Freeport began sampling properties in May 2021
• Freeport submitted a Remedial Action Work Plan in December 2021 and the RAWP was approved by ADEQ in February 2022, following a 30-day public comment period
