Site Summary:

  • Soil investigations has been conducted on the site
  • In February 2018, the United States Postal Service (USPS) submitted a Site Conceptual Engineering Design, which proposes using a Declaration of Environmental Use Restriction (DEUR) with an engineered cap to prevent exposure to affected soil
  • In February 2018, ADEQ conceptually agreed with the proposal to utilize a DEUR
  • In December 2018, the USPS submitted a Characterization Work Plan
  • In June 2019, ADEQ approved the Site Characterization Work Plan
  • In November 2019, the USPS submitted a Limited Phase II Report
  • In December 2019, ADEQ approved the Limited Phase II Report
  • In June 2020, a Remedial Action Work Plan was submitted by USPS and ADEQ approved the Remedial Action Work Plan
  • A revised Remedial Action Report will be submitted due to a change in the proposed soil cap
