On Oct. 14, 2026, the comment period begins for the preliminary decision to issue a significant amendment to an Individual Aquifer Protection Program (APP) Permit to the Town of Chino Valley for the Chino Valley Water Reclamation Facility located in Yavapai County, Arizona. The comment period ends Nov. 13, 2026.

The purpose of this amendment is to expand the facility to handle the peak flows better. This includes adding two equalization basins, new coarse screen and screw press. Alternative monitoring for fecal coliform has been added and the groundwater standards for Point of Compliance Well 2 have been set in this permit as well.
