On Sept. 18, 2026, the comment period begins for the Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) for the Upper Queen Creek Watershed, for copper and lead impairments on Queen Creek and its tributaries in Pinal County near Superior, Arizona. The comment period ends Oct. 20, 2026.
A TMDL is a scientific determination of the maximum amount of a given pollutant that a surface water can assimilate and still meet the water quality standards that protect human health and aquatic life.
