The Town of Kearny applied for a renewal AZPDES permit for the proposed discharge of up to 0.25 million gallons per day (MGD) of treated domestic wastewater from the Kearny Wastewater Reclamation Facility to the Gila River in Pinal County, Arizona. The facility is a publicly-owned treatment works that receives domestic wastewater from residential and commercial sources in Kearny. Sludge is treated, dewatered, dried on site and hauled to an approved landfill for disposal.
