On June 29, 2026, the comment period begins for the proposal to approve Mohave County’s facility plan modification for Type IV Vertical Expansion of Mohave Valley Landfill located in Mohave County, Arizona. The comment period ends July 29, 2026.

The proposed modifications to the landfill include increasing the fill height and modifying the bottom grading of the landfill. The revised fill and excavation grades will increase the capacity of the landfill by approximately 9.5 million cubic yards from the current 14,950,100 cubic yards to a total airspace volume of approximately 24,532,400 cubic yards.
