On June 25, 2026, the comment period begins for the proposal to issue a new Arizona Pollution Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) permit to the U.S. Department of the Interior – National Park Service for the Havasupai Garden Potable Water Pump Station located in Coconino County, Arizona. The comment period ends July 27, 2026.

The National Park Service applied for a Individual AZPDES permit for the proposed discharge of up to 1.25 million gallons per day (MGD) of treated chlorinated groundwater from the Havasupai Garden Potable Water Pump Station to Garden Creek in the Grand Canyon River Basin in Coconino County, Arizona. The facility is a federally-owned potable water pumping station and is considered to be a minor industrial facility under the AZPDES program.
