On Oct. 25, 2024, the comment period begins for the preliminary decision to reissue the Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP), authorizing stormwater discharges associated with industrial activities to waters of the U.S. The proposed permit is intended to replace permit AZMSG2019-001/AZMSG2019-002. This permit is issued pursuant of the Federal Clean Water Act, in compliance with State statutes and rules. The proposed general permit covers discharges from any of the 29 specified industrial sectors that have stormwater discharges associated with industrial activities within Arizona, except for Indian Country. The comment period ends on Nov. 26, 2024.
