On May 17, 2024, the comment period begins for the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to amend Arizona Administrative Code R18-13-308 to modify A.C.C. Title 18, Chapter 11, Article 1 to: update the criteria applied to surface water quality standards used by ADEQ to protect public health to the levels required by EPA; modify the designated uses of some WOTUS protected by the CWA to reflect how those WOTUS are currently used; and make technical edits to Appendix B to ensure waterbody descriptions are accurate. The comment period ends Aug. 2, 2024.
