Location: Northwest Tucson, approximately bounded by a quarter mile north of Rillito Creek, El Camino del Cerro Road on the south, Meadowbrook Park on the east and the Santa Cruz River on the west with industrial properties, residential properties and a former landfill that occupies approximately 20 acres in the southwest portion

Contaminants of concern: Tetrachloroethene (PCE), trichloroethene (TCE), 1,1-dichloroethene (1,1-DCE), 1,1-dichloroethane (1,1-DCA), cis-1,2-dichloroethene (cis-1,2-DCE), vinyl chloride and benzene

Action taken: The contaminant plume impacted three community wells, which were removed from service. One of these wells now has a wellhead treatment system removing volatile organic compounds (VOC) to meet drinking water standards.

Status: The Proposed Remedial Action Plan is being completed for the site.
