Forecast Discussion:
Yesterday's PM10 levels were in the Good category, even with a late morning uptick due to stronger winds from nearby activity. Clearer skies prevail this morning, and cumulus will develop later this morning. Gusty winds are causing an increase in PM10 levels, but we expect this to improve into the afternoon.
There will be chances for showers and thunderstorms the next several days. Gusty winds with this activity could kick up dust. However, we suspect there has been enough rain in the area to prevent any major dust issues. With this in mind, there will be brief increases in PM10 levels in the late evenings this week. Despite this expected storm activity, PM10 is forecast to stay in the Good AQI category through the forecast period.
