Forecast Discussion:

Active weather is on the horizon for eastern AZ, with thunderstorm chances increasing starting Sunday and followed by persistent evening chances every day after.

The main pollutant to watch will be PM10 due to blowing dust chances from nearby outflows. Fortunately, if rain does make it to the ground in your area, this will help quell any built up particulate matter pollution in the region. Currently, we do expect most rainfall to occur in the eastern and southeastern portions of the state going forward, as high pressure sets up in western AZ, blocking most activity from reaching the Phoenix area and further west.

Our hourly graphs above illustrate the blowing dust potential in your area going forward. Check in with your local weather authority for the latest in storm activity this weekend.

Have a great weekend!
