Forecast Discussion:
An unseasonably strong low-pressure wave will drop into Arizona later today (Friday), continuing an impressive stretch of daily, windy conditions through Saturday. The good news is that this week's winds have not resulted in substantially high PM10 (dust) levels, but we still can't rule out pockets of dust. Rain will also be possible tonight into early Saturday morning. Any rain will help to reduce PM10.
After the winds and potential rain on Saturday, weather conditions will calm down a bit for the rest of the period. Mostly sunny skies and lighter winds will return. As a result, PM10 will become mostly locally driven once again.
Check back on Monday morning for the next Miami Air Quality Forecast.
