Forecast Discussion:

A weak disturbance located off the California coast will make its way eastward over the desert southwest today, resulting in southwest winds of 10-15 mph this afternoon (Friday). By tomorrow, winds will increase to 15-20 mph, with temperatures dropping to just below the 90°F mark in the valley.

Going forward, higher pressure will reestablish on Sunday, with winds expected to become mostly light, with similar trends persisting through the first half of the week. Temperatures will increase into the triple digits starting on Monday, so be sure to hydrate as the summer heat returns to the desert!

As for air quality, PM10 (dust) is forecast to remain within the Good AQI for the rest of the 5-day period.

Have a safe and great weekend!
