ADEQ invites stakeholders to join us for another virtual meeting to review proposed rulemaking for solid waste frequency of collection. Under the current rule, solid waste collection agencies operated by municipalities, cities, and commercial entities are required by State law to collect solid waste twice weekly. Exceptions, or variances, to the frequency of collection requirement are assessed on a case-by-case basis. The proposed rule seeks to expand the scope of variances and to offer clearer guidance for solid waste collection entities and solid waste processing facilities.
