• Ensure P2 team members have detailed knowledge of their plant culture.
Recognize accomplishments to sustain employees motivation.
• Provide immediate recognition of early accomplishments to help establish the P2 program.
• Develop facility and/or corporate-level recognition programs to help sustain employee motivation.
Support facility P2 programs with company resources.
• Access corporate and external resources to aid P2 efforts (i.e. corporate engineering, marketing, research, laboratories, outside suppliers, etc.)
Develop an effective communication strategy to increase P2 awareness.
• Utilize communication resources within the facility and community.
Integrate P2 into pre-manufacturing decisions.
• Begin P2 at research, development and design phases of the product or process.
• Work with equipment and raw material suppliers and customers to help identify P2 opportunities for products and processes.
