VIRTUAL MEETING | Arizona Aquifer Water Quality Standards Rulemaking

ADEQ is holding a virtual meeting with stakeholders to discuss the Aquifer Water Quality Standards (AWQS) rulemaking and rule implementation. Our primary purpose for this meeting is to get input from Wastewater Treatment Plants and industries across the state. The agenda will include a presentation on the purpose of the rulemaking, the draft AWQS implementation plan, draft rule, and the project’s next steps.

The rulemaking includes the prospective establishment or adjustment of seven AWQSs: arsenic, bromate, chlorite, microbiological contaminants, haloacetic acids, total trihalomethanes, and uranium.
