Forecast Discussion:
Ozone levels did reach the Moderate category yesterday, likely helped by the smoke from California. Today, there is potential for ozone to be influenced by smoke again. As a result, we are forecasting ozone to reach the Moderate category again today. It is difficult to know how much smoke the wildfires will produce, and how long they will last, but after today, we are forecasting ozone levels to trend back down into the Good range. We will adjust the forecast if it looks like there will continue to be enough smoke to influence ozone levels in the area. Fortunately, on Sunday and Monday there should be rain over the area, which should definitely help improve the air quality.
