Harmful activities to the environment may include, but are not limited to:
- Illegal dumping
- Illegal burning
- Unauthorized release of contaminants (deliberate or accidental)
- Radiological or biological discharges
Signs of harm to the environment may include, but are not limited to:
- Strange-tasting drinking water
- Excess/sustained smoke or dust in the air
- Oil spills
- Chemical spills
