ADEQ welcomes comments on the proposed State Implementation Plan (SIP) Revision for the Miami Sulfur Dioxide (SO₂) Nonattainment Area Demonstrating Compliance with Clean Air Act Sections 110(l) and 193 for the 2010 SO₂ National Ambient Air Quality Standards. The SIP Revision demonstrates that Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R18-2-C1302 and EPA-approved SIP provisions for the Miami 2010 SO₂ Nonattainment Areas provide a greater level of emission reductions than the SIP rules associated with the 1971 SO₂ NAAQS. The SIP revision will be submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for incorporation in Arizona’s State Implementation Plan as required under the Clean Air Act.
