PUBLIC NOTICE | Proposed Revision to SIP for Miami Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) Nonattainment Area

ADEQ welcomes comments on the proposed State Implementation Plan (SIP) Revision for the Miami Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) Nonattainment Area Demonstrating Compliance with Clean Air Act Sections 110(l) and 193 for the 2010 SO2 National Ambient Air Quality Standards. The SIP Revision demonstrates that Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R18-2-C1302 and EPA-approved SIP provisions for the Miami 2010 SO2 Nonattainment Areas provide a greater level of emission reductions than the SIP rules associated with the 1971 SO2 NAAQS. The SIP revision will be submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for incorporation in Arizona’s State Implementation Plan as required under the Clean Air Act.
