PUBLIC NOTICE | Proposal to Issue Air Quality Control Renewal Permit for Pinyon Plain Mine in Coconino County

ADEQ proposes to issue Air Quality Control Renewal Permit Number 88788 to Energy Fuels Resources (USA) Inc. for the construction and operation of an underground uranium mine located in Tusayan, Arizona.  The facility is subject to the requirements of the Federal Clean Air Act, Code of Federal Regulations, Arizona Revised Statute 49-426, and the Arizona Administrative Code, Title 18, Chapter 2. The facility emits the following air contaminants: particulate matter nominally less than 10 micrometers (PM10), particulate matter nominally less than 2.5 micrometers (PM2.5), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), nitrogen oxides (NOX), sulfur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO), hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), and radionuclides.
