PUBLIC NOTICE | Draft Remedial Investigation Report for ChemResearch Facility at West Van Buren WQARF Site

ADEQ released the draft Remedial Investigation (RI) report for the ChemResearch Facility located within the West Van Buren Water Quality Assurance Revolving Fund (WQARF) site (Site) in Phoenix, Arizona.1

RI Information

The RI identifies the nature, extent and source(s) of the Site’s contamination; current and potential impacts to public health and the environment; current and reasonably foreseeable land and water uses at the Site; and evaluates other information necessary for identification and comparison of alternative remedial actions.

Site Information

The Site contains contaminated groundwater. Its historical contaminants of concern are tetrachloroethylene (PCE), hexavalent chromium, and nickel. Public Meeting

ADEQ will hold a public meeting for interested parties to comment on the draft RI report and provide input on the Site’s remedial objectives.
