PUBLIC NOTICE | Comment Period for Draft RI Report for East Central Phoenix 48th Street and Indian School Road WQARF Site

ADEQ has released the draft remedial investigation (RI) report for the East Central Phoenix 48th Street and Indian School Road Water Quality Assurance Revolving Fund (WQARF) site in Maricopa County, Ariz., and welcomes comments from the public.

RI Information

An RI is conducted to document the nature and extent of the contamination and the sources thereof; identify current and potential impacts to public health, welfare and the environment; identify current and reasonably foreseeable uses of land and waters of the state; and obtain and evaluate any other information necessary for identification and comparison of alternative remedial actions. 

Site Information

The East Central Phoenix 48th Street and Indian School WQARF site consists of a plume bounded approximately by Devonshire Avenue to the north, Fairmont Avenue to the south, 48th Street to the east, and 45th Place to the west | Learn More >

The contaminant of concern at the site is tetrachloroethene (PCE).
