On July 18, 2024, the comment period begins for the preliminary decision to issue a significant amendment to an individual Aquifer Protection Permit (APP) for the Verrado Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) located in Maricopa County. The comment period ends Aug. 16, 2024.

This permit will allow the permittee to comply with the two key requirements of the Aquifer Protection Program: 1. meet Aquifer Water Quality Standards at the Point of Compliance and 2. demonstrate Best Available Demonstrated Control Technology.
