The City of Yuma applied for a renewal AZPDES permit for the proposed discharge of up to 0.68 million gallons per day (mgd) of filter backwash decant water from the Yuma Main Street Water Treatment Plant to the Colorado River in the Colorado – Lower Gila River Basin in Township 7 S, Range 6 E, Section 22, in Yuma County, Arizona. The Main Street Water Treatment Plant is a publicly owned domestic water treatment facility that provides domestic water supply to the City of Yuma, Arizona.
