PUBLIC NOTICE | Work Plan for the Kingman Municipal Airport Voluntary Remediation Program (VRP) Site

ADEQ has received a work plan for the Kingman Municipal Airport Voluntary Remediation Program (VRP) site (VRP Site Code 502458-00), located in Kingman, Arizona. The work plan proposes as the remedial approach, Alternative Option #1, excavation of buried Aluminum Production Waste (Dross) and Dross-contaminated soil, and was submitted in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes § 49-175 and § 176.

The buried Dross and Dross-contaminated soil, which is located on an approximate 15-acre portion of the Airport will be excavated and transported to a regulated landfill for disposal. Metals are the contaminants of concern.

A determination of NFA means that no further action shall be taken by ADEQ to remediate or require remediation of the site or portion of the site covered by the no further action determination, except in limited circumstances described in statute | View A.R.S. 49-181(E) >
