Forecast Discussion:

This morning's water vapor satellite tells the story, and the story's title is dry! High pressure continues to sit across the southeastern portion of the United States with a trough along the West Coast. This pattern is pushing all the monsoon moisture off into New Mexico, leaving Arizona dry.

Later this week, the trough will lift toward the northeast allowing high pressure to move westward and center itself over the Four Corners late Friday into the weekend. This shift will open the door for moisture to move back into the state, with slight thunderstorm chances returning this weekend.

The bigger story with this pattern will be warming temperatures, with afternoon highs rising into the mid-80s Friday into the first part of next week.

As for air quality, forecasting ozone to be in the Good AQI category through the forecast period.

Make it a great day!
