PUBLIC NOTICE | No Further Action Determination for the U.S. Border Patrol Former Pistol Range Voluntary Remediation Program (VRP) Site
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection has submitted a request for a No Further Action (NFA) determination to the ADEQ Voluntary Remediation Program (VRP) for the U.S. Border Patrol Former Pistol Range VRP site. The NFA requests closure for soil and was submitted in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes § 49-181.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection VRP site consists of one-half acre of former shooting range for small arms training located in Nogales, Arizona. Contaminants of concern at the site are polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons, antimony, arsenic and lead.
A determination of NFA means that no further action shall be taken by ADEQ to remediate or require remediation of the site or portion of the site covered by the no further action determination, except in limited circumstances described in statute | View A.R.S. 49-181(E) >
