Published in: Arizona Business Gazette on Nov. 19, 2020
AZPDES Permit No. AZS000003
ADEQ proposes to issue an Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) permit renewal to discharge pollutants to Waters of the United States to the following applicant, subject to certain effluent limitations and special conditions:
Permittee
City of Phoenix MS4 Phase I
200 W. Washington Street
Phoenix, AZ 85003-1611
Facility Information
The City of Phoenix applied for a renewal AZPDES permit for the discharge of pollutants to Waters of the U.S. from Phoenix’s municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4). The City’s existing permit was issued in 2009, expired 2014, but has been administratively continued pending reissuance of this permit. The permit requires the City to continue to implement and maintain a Stormwater Management Program Plan to include control measures designed to reduce the discharge of pollutants to the maximum extent practicable. The permit establishes measurable goals to assess the efficacy of control measure design and implementation.
