AZPDES Permit No. AZS000002

ADEQ proposes to issue an Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) permit renewal to discharge pollutants to Waters of the United States to the following applicant, subject to certain effluent limitations and special conditions:

Permittee

Pima County MS4 Phase I
33 N. Stone, Suite 700
Tucson, Arizona 85726-7210

Facility Information

Pima County applied for a renewal AZPDES permit for the discharge of pollutants to Waters of the U.S. from Pima County’s municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4). The existing permit was issued in 2011 and expired 2016, but has been administratively continued pending reissuance of this permit. The permit requires the County to continue to implement and maintain a Stormwater Management Program to include control measures designed to reduce the discharge of pollutants to the maximum extent practicable. The permit establishes measurable goals to assess the efficacy of control measure design and implementation.
