For Soil | There is little to no health risk unless there is contact with skin or ingestion of contaminated soil

Site Summary:

  • Prior to entering the VRP, work included characterization of chlorinated solvents in soil and indoor air from former facility operations. No groundwater impacts identified.
  • Site kick-off meeting hosted on Oct. 13, 2020.
  • The VRP approved the Volunteer to commence with a vapor extraction pilot test prior to submitting a Corrective Action Plan. This work was completed in the spring of 2021.
  • The Volunteer submitted a Corrective Action Plan (CAP) and "Indoor Air Quality Sampling Report" in June 2021. The VRP met with the Volunteer to discuss path forward on June 24 and approved the CAP on July 2, 2021.
  • The Volunteer completed remaining site characterization work and excavation activities, including installation of a soil vapor extraction (SVE) system, in the third quarter of 2021.
  • The Volunteer submitted the initial SVE Progress Report in April 2022. The VRP approved the Report on May 6, 2022.
