Voluntary Remediation Program Site Record of Decision 

ADEQ has issued a record of decision (ROD), which is deemed a final administrative decision as defined by Arizona Revised Statutes § 41-1092, for the Former Capitol Castings Facility Voluntary Remediation Program (VRP) Site in Tempe, Ariz. The ROD contains a description of the remedy, a time for completing the remedy and a total estimated cost for the remedy.

The Former Capitol Castings Facility VRP Site consists of a solvent plume located in Tempe. The plume is bounded to the north by the industrial parcel located at 5857 South Kyrene Road, to the east by the Western Canal, to the west by Kyrene Road, and to the south by Guadalupe Road. The contaminant of concern for this plume is 1,1-dichloroethene.
